Kanye West has been catching quite the heat recently for his Nazi influenced music, but that clearly does not stop Kanye from releasing new music.
After the CUCK album leak incident (which Kanye mostly dismissed) that contributed funds to a Holocaust Memorial, Kanye seemed taken aback but largely unfazed. As fans wondered what his next was going to be, Kanye took to Instagram to drop a new song.
The track is called ‘Alive’, and features NBA YoungBoy. But that isn’t even the crazy part; the track also samples Playboi Carti’s ‘Crank,’ which is off his chart-busting album, MUSIC. While currently unavailable on streaming platforms, the track can be heard on Ye’s instagram profile.
Sonically, the track makes excellent use of highly saturated and buzzy 808s that provide the bed for the two rappers to bounce on. With a high energy vocal delivery emphasizing feeling ‘alive’ after seeing death, the track is Ye’s angst given shape. But whether fans will accept this after all the controversy, only time will tell. What do you think?
